After years of annoyance, John P decided to remove the "Magnetic Storm" uncoupler from Gifford City. Here's the worksite ater the uncoupler was removed.		A replacement wood slab has been glued in place, and putty spread around the edges.
	New ties are glued down.		Alex Keck is in town from his university in Stuttgart in Germany, and he brought some animated models. Here he is wiring one of them up.
	This took him a while, and the circuit breaker saw some action (because other people wanted power left on).		The cowboy waves his whip--or is it a lasso?
	Stapling wires into place.		A recent article in Model Railroader reminded John P about experiments with RFID tags a few years ago.
	The track at Gifford City now has ballast, a tolerably good match for the surrounding area.		Diluted glue and then a water spray--to get it "good and swampy".
	Alex is using tried and true technology to make a large hole for his second donation. Powered with "renewable energy" if you accept Cherry Coke in that category.		It features pecking hens!
	Meanwhile, the track in Gifford City is back in operation. The ballast should appear lighter as it dries.

Today was the TMRC open house, so the house was packed! Here are some of the highlights.

	The tetris game was as always a big hit.		Veteran member James came by to poke at the layout, here he is getting the trolley up and running.

	The trains ran very smoothly all afternoon long		As you can see, the house was quite packed
