- January 10
We were supposed to have an operating session and a club meeting tonight, but we were so busy with other projects we did neither. Our visitors from RailRun must have been scared off by the snow!
Some operating was done, actually. |
Over in East Berkmannville, a steel products warehouse is taking shape thanks to John McNamara. |
Quentin triumphally completed the subway track in Gifford City. Our subway cars now run automatically from one station to the other across the front of the layout and to points beyond. Currently the subway only runs if System3 is on, but we may make it stand-alone in the future. |
Extended Benedict Arnold service was considered to offer the subway riders extra comfort. The idea was dropped quickly. |
- January 17
We had a visitor tonight, Mike Stunes, who is now our newest club member!
He learned how our system works, |
ran some trains, |
and built a new box car for our fleet (totally his idea)! |
- January 21
David made a new structure in Berkmannville, "Bassex Bakery".
Now that there's a building there, the track finally had to be reinstalled (the original was done somewhat carelessly, and never worked properly). This siding is laid with code 55 rail; the only code 55 on our railroad.
