March '10
This page describes work accomplished on the new TMRC layout during the month of March 2010, as taken from the descriptions posted to the club mailing list.
March 3

Today we arrived to find a note saying "Machine broken" on the Coke(R) machine. The trouble proved to be a broken coin chute, which had caused a jam. John M removed the damaged part.
A patch was made for the coin chute, but the plastic is crumbling. It's not clear if a replacement part can ever be found.
Paul worked on metal passenger cars.
John P proceeded with Switch 117 (formerly Switch 115).

March 10

John M is adding interior detail to the steel warehouse--such as this traveling crane.
Governor Stunes has been painting locomotives. The red color is for the lower half of the loco body: he'll mask it and paint the top light gray.
Alex Keck expanded the vegetable garden at Pettengill Circle, to include sunflowers.
John P wired Switch 117, and ran the first train over it (an RS-3 pulling one car).

March 12

Alex admires as Michael unmasks his painted loco shell.
Alex is working on a new signal. They are very delicate and intricate.

March 16

A new switchstand--but it seems the guy is talking about fish.
Alex's signal. A better picture.
John M's overhead crane for the steel warehouse.
They can't leave until she gets into the bathroom.

March 20

This is a mockup of proposed new contstruction in East Berkmannville. A bridge on a diagonal over the tracks, and an area of raised ground beside the road. Maybe use this space for the three houses that David Lambeth brought in, which don't fit the hill near Berkmannville station very well. The ground was made sloping to add interest, but this doesn't have to be kept, though it would be possible to fit the houses to the terrain--houses are built on slopes.
Down in the lumber yard--where's this load going?

March 27

Not shown: Further progress by Alex on a signal, and by John M on the steel warehouse, with help from Governor Stunes.

John P installed a new concrete retaining wall in the Gifford Bulk Transfer facility.
Bill Onorato put down the roadbed for track in the Chemical Plant area.
With some components made by a Massachusetts company but ordered from England, Quentin finished the next block card.
In the best TMRC tradition, the Governors did some wiring.
