This page describes work accomplished on the new TMRC layout during
the month of December 2012, as taken from the descriptions posted to
the club mailing list.
Alex constructed a small building and installed it in F-Yard.
Andy did more work on his station. Apparently corbels are very hard to find.
Bill placed some roadbed on the 2nd level.
Also in 2nd level action, John P installed and mostly programmed a processor that now controls all the turnout
servos. Next step is to link it to the communication network to make it function with our control system.
There will also need to be relays (to go on the perf board visible in the picture) to switch the various turnout
and crossing frogs.
Just in from the West Coast Shops--18 feet of platform awnings for Gifford City Station,
with lighting installed. Tragically, there was extensive shipping damage, but we'll be able to
fix up and use these models. Here's one set up with the lights running at 8 Volts with room lights off.
Seen from under the roof.
Here are the lights running on 14 Volts. There would be no need to dim the room lights at this level!
A turnout has been installed on the helix, for our "foreign road" loop.
