This page describes work accomplished on the new TMRC layout during
the month of January 2011, as taken from the descriptions posted to
the club mailing list.
Virtual progress! We're planning the upper levels of the layout with the help of Google Sketchup. Here's the triple-track ramp that rises from the staging yard. Yes, it has correct Code 83 rail sections and ties every 0.2 inches.
This shows the various helix and turnback tracks up to the level of the Tuckerton entrance. To match David Lambeth's drawings, we'll need an additional loop above what's shown here, taking the track from the west end of Tuckerton around to the third level. No track shown, at least not yet.
What is it? Gluing a large black object with clamps and lead blocks...
It's a rack to hold destination pockets for the General Freight Agent. They're arranged in order on the layout, from East (left) to West (right). Total of 32 slots.
Governor Stunes is laying rail in the Chemical Plant area.
To alleviate the two-dimensional appearance of the Radical Flats photo-reproduced buildings, we tried recessing the windows. They probably need to go deeper to show up reasonably.
